The WTC Algiers Export Club launches the African Road Show

The World Trade Center Algiers has launched an African Road Show in partnership with the French Banque Société Générale , with the aim of connecting its customers to members of WTC Algiers, in more than 17 countries on the African continent.

First stop: Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire July 8-10: Côte d'Ivoire, world capital of cocoa and coffee and founding member of ECOWAS(Economic Community of West African States), which brings together 15 countries in the West African region, was the first host chosen, a place conducive to business with endless opportunities and a landscape fantastic. Participating companies operate in four main sectors: the pharmaceutical industry, construction, new technologies and energy. The purpose of this trade mission is to help Algerian companies expand their network of partners in the various regions of Africa and vice versa. During this trade mission, meetings were organized for the participants with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Côte d'Ivoire , the Lebanese Chamber of Commerce of Côte d'Ivoire , the CGECI(Ivory Coast Employers) as well as the Ministers of Health and Infrastructure. M. Ahmed TIBAOUI, CEO of WTC Algiers, who led the delegation, highlighted the fact that intra-African trade was far below its real potential and that Africa is the continent of the future with more than 2 billion inhabitants. by 2050 and significant and varied natural resources. On the program, a visit to the famous port of Abidjan was organized through a cruise on the Vridi canal. B2B meetings were then organized in partnership with Societe Generale Abidjan, these meetings were mainly composed of local distributors, all Societe Generale customers. At last, it is also important to underline that the success of this mission is also based on the remarkable support of the Ambassador of Algeria in Côte d'Ivoire, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Abdelaziz Bouguettaia, who at the end of the mission, invited all participants in a memorable reception at the residence of the Ambassador of Algeria. Looking forward to the next trade mission!
